Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson had a peaceful school year after a hectic summer of finding out that he was a demigod and going on a quest. But things don’t stay quiet for long.

Percy starts having bad dreams about his friend, Grover. To make matters worse, the borders around Camp Half-Blood are starting to weaken and only the Golden Fleece can help.

Clarisse, daughter of Ares goes on a quest to find the fleece but Percy is determined not to be left behind. (Spoilers!)

What is not to love about this book? It is amazing! It’s action packed and you will never bored in this book with danger around every corner.

There was new characters added in this book from the Lightning Thief. Tyson and at the end of the book, Thalia. I was so surprised about Thalia, especially when she said she was a daughter of Zeus. This got me thinking that she might be the one the Oracle might be talking about in he prophecy.

I love Tyson! He’s so funny and awesome. He may seem like a clumsy, kiddish guy, but you can tell he actually knows whats happening at the end of the book when he leaves Percy.

5 out of 5
