Exposure by Kathy Reichs

When twin classmates are abducted from Bolton Prep, Tory and the Virals decide there’s no one better equipped than them to investigate. But the gang has other problems to face. Their powers are growing wilder, and becoming harder to control. Chance Claybourne is investigating the disastrous medical experiment that twisted their DNA. The bonds that unite them are weakening, threatening the future of the pack itself.

The Virals must decipher the clues and track own a ruthless criminal before he strikes again, all while protecting their secret from prying eyes. And everyone seems to be watching.

I finally finished reading this book. I’ve been reading books for a sort of trivia competition and dang does it feel good to read something I actually want to read. (Not that those books were bad. They just didn’t have the excitement in them)

As expected, the pack obviously acted when the twins got “kidnapped”. “KIDNAPPED”. I couldn’t believe it. When they described the twins, I thought they were all innocent and chill but NOPE. PLOT TWIST. It has been a while since I’ve read a book with a good plot twist.

Ella? I wasn’t all too concerned about Ella. I don’t know why but she seems real bad ass and I thought that she could handle whatever she had to handle.

Chance was pretty much lying low and then at the end, BOOOMMM. HE BE SUDDENLY A SPECIOUS (LA teach are you proud of me using a vocab word) LIL VIRAL. AND THEN IT JUST ENDS. I THOUGHT THIS WAS GOING TO BE THE LAST BOOK BUT HAAAAAHHHH. APPARENTLY NOT. Well to be honest, I read the ending before it started but it’s even more shocking if I actually read it.

As for Detective Hawfield wasn’t that much of a surprise. He was a fishy guy anyway. Hawfield was kind of a desperate sort of guy when they revealed his actual character.

Also Tory and Ben are “friends” again. Yay.

That reminds me. We never learned what happened to Chang or whatever his name was. The hacker guy. What did he do with the information? Did he share it with anyone? Was he affiliated with Chance? Everyone kind of just forgot about him. Jason too. He’s the background character. I almost forgot about him.

I loved this book. I was never bored and although the character’s made me want to scream sometimes, I enjoyed reading.
