City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

In order to save Clary’s mother, she heads to Idris, the home of the shadowhunters. There Clary hopes she can find a warlock named Ragnor Fell, who can help save her mother.

The problem is, Jace doesn’t want her to go, claiming that it was dangerous for her to be there.

To make matters worse, Valentine is using everything in his power to destroy the shadowhunters.

The shadowhunters and the downworlders must join forces to stop Valentine. But can they put aside their hatred and work together?

In my opinion, this is the most stressful book of the TMI series. Well…at least in the beginning of the book.

The decision Clary makes about going to Idris is absolutely reckless and stupid. It made me really frustrated with her and kind of made me want to throw my tablet to the wall.

In the end, it worked out and I pushed my frustration aside. After Clary settles in Amatis’ house, I started to enjoy the book.

Things were finally explained in this book. I especially liked the part when we find out that Jace and Clary weren’t siblings.

That gets rid of 99.9% of the stress I had while reading because they kept talking about them being on love and…just…bleh.

One thing I would like to change is the battle. Well, not the battle itself but we didn’t really see/read much of it. It was mostly about Jace fighting Sebastian and Clary with Valentine. I wish we got more snippets of the battle with Simon.

Fantastic book. 4 out of 6
