Airborn by Kenneth Oppel

Matt Cruse is a cabin boy on the Aurora, an airship ferrying passengers. He enjoys his job and is convinced he is lighter than air. It is the life he always wanted.

When the crew of the Aurora rescues a dying balloonist, he spoke of strange creatures flying in the skies. Little does Matt know that these creatures might be real and were just hidden throughout the years. (Possible spoilers ahead)

This book is super amazing! You won’t stop reading until you finish.

The plot was quickly paced. In just a span of a few pages, you will be hooked! I have never read a book about airships so it was interesting to read about.

My favorite part of this book was when Kate and Matt were together in the cave. It gave them a chance to bond and get to know each other. We also get to understand the characters better as well.

I love Kate’s personality. She’s very stubborn and doesn’t want to do what normal girls should do. She wants to break out and be different and I love that. Kate was my favorite character in this book.

Fantastic book with tons of action. 5 out of 5
